OUR JOURNEY.

START THE JOURNEY

Bengawan UV first founded by Universitas Sebelas Maret Mechanical Engineering students in 2014 which names are Zuhdi, Virel, and Gama. The first objective of BUV Team was only to focused on unmanned aircraft. Then at 2017, BUV managed to form a new division which focus on unmanned ship. Bengawan UV has it own slogan that we always proudly say “Aksatriya Nalendra Madyantara” which means “The Knights of The Sea and The Sky”. The unmanned ship division of Bengawan UV divided into three categories which are ; Autonomous Surface Vehicle, Fuel Engine Remote Control, and Electric Remote Control.

FIRST COMPETITION

On the first competition that Bengawan UV participated in, we’ve managed to get third place on Electric Remote Control category on Indonesian Power Boats Competition (HMTB-tournament series 2018)

KKCTBN 2018

(Kontes Kapal Cepat Tak Berawak Nasional 2018) was the first national government based competition that Bengawan UV participated in. On this event Bengawan UV has the privilege to earn second position on ERC Category.

KKCTBN 2019

(Kontes Kapal Cepat Tak Berawak Nasional 2019). We’ve continued our first try and re-join KKCTBN on our second year and managed to develop our team further and got third place on ERC category and Best Spirit on ASV Category.

KKCTBN 2020

(Kontes Kapal Cepat Tak Berawak Nasional 2020). On the third year of competing in KKCTBN, we’ve managed to thrive even further and had the biggest reward yet in Bengawan UV history in which we got 7 championship titles; Best Design on ASV Category, Best Design on FERC Category, First Place Ship Performance on FERC Category, First Place Ship Performance on ERC Category, Second Place Ship Purpose Poster on ASV Category, and last but not least Best Prototype on ASV Category.

IRC 2021

After got several reward at National Competition, we are not easily satisfied with the results obtained, At the beginning of the year we try to level up by joining the International Roboboat Competition 2021, with less than 6 months of preparation, we got unexpected results where we got 2nd place in the sensors optimization skills video and 2nd place in the hull design skills video.

KKCTBN 2021

(Kontes Kapal Cepat Tak Berawak Nasional 2021). After the IRC, we still join KKCTBN competition for the fourth time. For the result, we’ve got back to back championship and best design at ERC categories. Besides that, we also got 5th place winner at ASV categories

IRC 2022

In this second year of participating in the Roboboat Competition, our team improved and leveled up. Surprisingly, we got new results, which are 2nd place in design documentation, sponsorship: Blue Robotics award, and the best team for testing and innovation.

(Kontes Kapal Cepat Tak Berawak Nasional 2022). After the IRC, we still join KKCTBN competition for the fifth time. For the result, we got the 3rd place winner at FERC category, the Fun Battle at FERC category, and the 4th place winner at ERC category.

This year is the third year for us to participate in Roboboat Competition. It is time for us to evaluate from the back and improve our team in IRC 2023.
