About Mandakini Zenith

Mandakini Zenith is the fifth ship of the Bengawan UV Roboboat team. This ship is a development of the previous generation, Mandakini Hydra. Development is carried out on the length and height of the ship's hull. In addition, development is also carried out on changing the shape of the ship's hull. Program. There is also development on . All developments made are expected to be the right step for the Roboboat Team to develop further.

Hull Design & Manufacturing

The Mandakini Zenith design process uses Maxsurf Modeler, Rhinoceros, and Fusion 360 software. Mandakini Zenith hull design is quite different from the previous ship. Where the previous generation ship used a Modified V-hull while the Mandakini Zenith ship uses a Round Hull shape so that the ship becomes more stable and can glide on the water surface smoothly. This hull uses a mold made of plywood and balsa wood then coated with matt fiberglass and fiberglass cloth which is then bonded using gelcoat with a better composition.

Simulation & Analysis

Hull Analysis

Mandakini Zenith hull testing was carried out using ANSYS and Maxsurf software. The tests carried out are stability, resistance, and Response Amplitude Operator (RAO) tests which aim to analyze the ship's ability to return to the balance point, the amount of drag generated by the ship, and the ship's motion response to dynamic loads by water waves. The simulation results show that Mandakini Zenith has better Heave, Pitch, and Roll values compared to Mandakini Hydra.

Frame Analysis

Frame testing was conducted using Fusion 360 software. The test conducted is a static stress test to determine the value of reaction force and von mises stress that occurs in the frame. After analysis with a load value of 60 N evenly distributed on the frame, the reaction force value of 22059.875 N and von mises stress of 5.362 MPA were obtained.

Electrical Systems

Electrical System Diagram

The main components on Mandakini Zenith are not much different from the previous year, but Mandakini Zenith has a different electrical system diagram where Mandakini Zenith has two boxes on the ship, namely the power distribution box and the main box. Power distribution box functions as a power distributor for the main box, power distribution box contains Terminal Block, Boost Converter, Buck Converter, ESC, and Stepper Motor Driver. The main box is where the main components of the ship, the main box contains Pixhawk Cube, Jetson Nano, GPS, and Exhaust Fan.
